Fairly transparent for Barbera and light in alcohol at 13.5%. Lovely bright nose, ripe of red cherry with a floral twist. On the palate it tastes quite evolved with a secondary profile that is very appealing. Could almost pass for a barolo. Probably best Barbera I’ve tried and better than the Burlotto Aves and Vietti Scarrone tried alongside. — 5 years ago

Darker than the Langhe Nebbiolo and Pelaverga tried on same weekend and more purple than the Langhe Friesa. Compared to Burlotto’s Aves Barbera which is aged in wood, this is a lighter interpretation. Although I understand the best Barbera fruit goes into the Aves don’t underestimate this as it is bright and pure with the same plum accent. Nice — 5 years ago
It's a very underrated wine. Rich nose. I know there are some fruits, but they are not important. They are an addition to leather, roasted pepper, tobacco (nose). It opens itself immediately. Mild on the palate, sweet. It's sweetness is a great balance between tobacco and some dark chocolate. And final surprise: third nose after the finish: coffee. — 6 years ago

Confectionery nose but all serious mouth. Pine and menthol give and take against plum root vegetables. — 5 months ago
