Had this lovely red at Etrusco in Corfu, Greece. Rated the best restaurant in all of Greece 2014. Smooth with some spice on the back end. Met chef Ettore Botrini-Michelin Star who couldn't be more gracious! Started w 4 mous bouch, homemade bread, Swordfish Carpaccio, tornadoes of beef with foi gras and truffles. He created three desserts for me personally. Outstanding! — 10 years ago

Dark ruby in color with a very wide reddish rim.

Lots of cinnamon, nutmeg and chocolate notes on the nose, but it doesn't smell sweet.

Semi sweet on the palate with nice balance and complexity.

Showing red currants, cherries, chocolates, earth, light tobacco, light oak, spices, coffee, nutmeg and light cinnamon.

Tangy finish with soft tannins, cherries and chocolates.

This sweet Syrah is tangy and pleasent. Better than I expected from a semi sweet red wine, and good by itself as a dessert.

14% alcohol by volume.
