Quite light straw colour , green hints . Fresh and linear on the nose , touch of petrol then cool slate , honeysuckle, green apple , camomile, white flowers. On the palate this is quite light but intense , green apple , pear and wet slate , quite saline acidity , pretty good length . Still quite young , intense but weightless in style , probably will improve over the next 5 years , maybe more, and last well over the next 5. — a month ago

Enjoyed this rosé pinot gris hugely. Just about off-dry, with a beautifully subtle pale salmon hue, and classic varietal characteristics, as well as that central Otago clean, intense fruit delivery. Had it as an aperitivo. Really v good 😄 — 11 years ago

Slightly deeper colour than the Aurum , more lemon yellow . Quite aromatic with more yellow fruits , apricot , touch of peach , then some basalt , stony , crushed rocks . On the palate this is agaín quite intense, high acidity , light toasty note with same yellow fruits on the nose , orange rind . Long and saline , mineral on the finish . With more time in the glass this becomes even more intensely saline and mineral. From now and over the next 5 years , maybe more . Impressive . This is the Sur Lie with a mix of 3 vintages. — a month ago

Saccoletto is an italian vigneron that makes really interesting wines for an educated palate .He follows a natural wine making Style starting from how The vines are grown. This is his top barbera, a dry, strong, straight forward, aged in barrique of 2/3 passage. It reminds me a Lot of The top wines from Braida ( They are located in The same geographic area ) for complexity And deepness though it lacks a bit of those wines elegance (its Way cheaper by The Way ).scents of ripened fruits, plums, Black berries, leather, a faint scent of herbs. Sublime. Silky, elegant, with incredible purity and concentration of fruit. Raspberries, strawberries, dark cherries. A good percentage of whole cluster fermentation, which really magnifies the fruit with the semi-carbonic maceration. Oak was well integrated, with lively acid. Once the ripe tannins had softened after an hour's air, a hint of chocolate and a subtle coffee note came through in the long, long finish. — 11 years ago
