Plum, licorice, cardamom and bold tannins with a well rounded finish — 7 months ago
Wine dinner with big group including Butch neighbor Art, Philip and Bewan. App filled in the mostly missing label! Different profile than the Krug ‘74, leaner and firmer with a more straightforward profile that’s not quite as multi dimensional but still an amazing 50 year old! Old price label of $8.29 still on bottle. — a year ago

August Sebastiani & brother-in-law, Kendrick Coakley, craft small-lot wines made with minimal intervention, so one can enjoy the truest representation of each appellation & how its terroir impacts specific varietals. Came across this rarity & grabbed a bottle. Aromas of ripe berry fruits & wafts of floral notes. On the palate raspberry & blueberry flavors, sweet cinnamon spice with an edge of tobacco tones. Smooth tannins, lingering ending with soft oaky notes. Great value! Nice! Small production. — 4 years ago
Lush body makes up for an understated nose. Needed quite a long time to fully open. Will lay down the next bottles for at least 4 years. — 7 months ago
