Agrícola El Villar

Bodegas Frutos Villar

Muruve Reserva Toro Tempranillo 2016

Oh wow that nose! Tar, oak, vanilla, blackberry, cherry... That's an intense nose. The palate is well designed with a great acid drive, some extreme width, some thick matter on the sides, you could chew through it... The mid palate is made of massive sphere of fun with gentle, caressing tannins, before a great finish with oaky notes, that tannic layer and these blackberry and cherry notes that last for ever. Great stuff! — 7 months ago

Macerado Edicion Limitada Rioja Viura 2020

Skin contact Viura. A bit like a slimmed down Lopez. Quite smooth & enough of an oxidized palate, yellow fruit rind & pith,,& medium acidity to keep up w our Basque b day meal for friend. — a year ago

CARM (Casa Agrícola Roboredo Madeira)

Douro Rabigato 2021

Thus was a 2021 and it had the taste of grapefruit and was smooth. Great with food/fish or just drinking alone. It reminded me of Sauvignon Blanc but a little heavier. Very drinkable! — 2 years ago

Quinta das Arcas

Conde Villar Alvarinho 2019

Once again this is vinho Verde at its very best. Pear, cantaloupe, chalk. There's that mineral thing on the nose that tells you it's going to be great 😊 the palate is very well made with a great acid backbone, a good width and mouthfeel, some pear and slightly lemony notes, before a long and fresh finish that goes on for a while. Why is everyone overlooking Vinho Verde? — 2 years ago
