The name means meadow on the hill. Dark Ruby with elegant red fruit aromas and smoky herb and floral spice. Flavors of fresh cherry and cranberry with notes of white pepper, tea, cinnamon and licorice. Fine tannins on a long finish ending with spicy fruit and mineral notes. Cellar for a few years! Very Nice! Tasting Sample. — 5 hours ago
A rich, ripe, 10-year-old dry Riesling from a serious Riesling specialist. Drinking great now and may have several more years of aging potential. Apple pie, baking spices, and subtle minerality. Finishes long with class and finesse. — 8 days ago
Nose was super-candied cherry right out the gate and then got a little shyer with air. The cherry got a bit deeper and sultry, accompanied by a gorgeous and increasing moist gravelly earthiness and a bit of spice. Not heavy, but surprisingly extracted in the mouth, with a lot of tannin. Very savory and long, with a growing bitter note in the finish. Better with food than a solo sipper. — a day ago

A knockout Oregon Pinot Noir🍷 only 148 cases produced of the 2014 vintage 🥺 — 6 days ago
Nose has under-ripe cherry, (minor) green pepper, lightly moist ashen soil, crushed cherries, under-ripe tangerine peel, fresh strawberry and faint cedar notes.
Palate has bright cherry, sweet cherry, dried raspberry, dry earth with crushed granite and dried strawberry on the long finish. Fine tannins while (light) bitter herbs linger, not distracting.
Decanted 2+ hours; more time needed here, in decanter and cellar. Future bottles should be 2024+

Winery (back label) notes:
Belle Pente Vineyard Pinot Noir is from specially selected blocks of our densely planted estate vineyard (est. 1994) in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. The grapes are fermented using indigenous yeasts, and are aged for 18 months in barrel. The wine is gravity bottled without fining or filtration to preserve the deep, concentrated black fruit aromas and flavors of this terrific young vineyard. (675 Cases) — 25 days ago
Smell is sorrel, raspberry, wood, color is ruby magenta, slight cloudy, taste has a sorrel, woody, raspberry syrup, leather front taste that falls with a light mid level tannin at the end with some thickness that carries the body of the wine — 13 days ago
