I've had a lot of Walt Pinot's and this one was not my favorite. Still some brightness with red cherry, baking spices and floral tea's but the mid palate left me looking for more. A decent lingering finish but the alcohol dominates. Could have been an off bottle. — a month ago

2008. The 2007 Keefer Ranch was one of my highest rated wines ever. The 2008 has similar flavors, but less intense, and a little more savory aromas. Glad I opened it first while we were waiting for the duck to finish roasting because the Walt I opened after had a little more acidity and tannins to cut through the duck fat. — a year ago

Loads of Cola in this Carneros Pinot. It's big and bold in cherry, some blueberry and dark fruit but has a warmth in its style. Nice Peppery finish. Another gem from the folks at Hall. — 3 years ago
