It’s incredible, this wine doesn’t look like it’s aged a day since I first tried it 9 years ago at the winery. A deep purple color in the glass that barely fades at the rim. The nose is soft and pure brunello, dusty earthy notes of sour cherry, anise sand a touch of dried porcini. The palate shows wonderful structure and acidity for 15 years of age. Rich fruit notes with notes of dark earth lead to dusty, drying tannins. The finish seems everlasting with acidity dancing on the tongue along with a hint of spice. I really do wonder how far this would have gone. Wonderful wine! — a month ago
So nice, lighter in composition but with a marvelous finish. These older wines with good balance just drink so well. — 6 years ago
Nice Brunello but not really singing at this point in its evolution. Also bearing some characteristics of the ripe / hot year, though to be honest less than I feared. Opened in the morning and by dinner was drinking well, at least when paired with some nice prime burgers. — 3 months ago

Ruby-tile dress. Superbly evolved nose. Black cherries, tobacco, chocolate, balsamic and many nuances evoking the field of vegetable notes (tomatoes, herbs, celery) as well as spices, or dried fruits. Tiered breeding level, quite complex that finds its fullness with the guard. Classy!
Classe! — 3 months ago
Dark but clear ruby. Black cherry and patent leather nose portends the medium full, leathery black cherry palate. Medium acidity from entry wrapped in supple medium tannins. Finish is lengthy and continues the palate. Rosso di Montalcino — the “Prince” red of Tuscany — is the bellwether for Brunello and Val di Suga’s entry predicts great things for the “King” in the 2019 vintage. Enjoy this with all classic fare from pizza to pork loin to Osso Bucco. Drink now and imagine what’s four years down the line. — 10 months ago
