Delicious, multilayered and energetic. Ripe black fruit, tobacco, earth and a bit of umami funk. — a year ago
@delectable this is called “gran maestro.” Wow. Amazing wine. Nose is lilacs. Almost volnay. Maybe crossed with really good old school napanir Bordeaux. Sweet blackberries. Gorgeous. Very deep. Amplitude is 10/10. Huge nostril filler. Like an atomizers inside your nostrils. A $200 nose.
Palate is wonderful. A cross between a perfect blueberry and a perfect wild just picked blackberry. Fresh. Some spice. Some licorice. Insane texture. But it’s all about the balance. Just coats the palate and sticks there. Lingering finish. Juicy. Blackberry licorice. 30 seconds at least.
Needs 30 minutes to integrate.

Cranberry, orange bitters and sweet cherry notes (and a heck of a stink!) make this old-vine, high-altitude volcanic soil red from Tenerife a very interesting experience.
High acidity, moderate tannin, really well poised - a tightrope of a wine that offers sweet cherry one second then searing orange zest another. The acidity carries through the finish exceptionally well, making this a wine of great balance.
Fascinating to try this alongside Wiston Estate’s 2014 Rosé, a completely different wine on paper but one that somehow shares so many characteristics with this. — 4 months ago

Smells of cherries, raspberries, strawberries... lots of red fruit, almost a candy smell. First flavors are plums, sour cherries followed by a soft sour taste that lingers before fading gently away. Nice bit of acid too. A really delicious wine! Wish I bought more. — 6 months ago
Excellent for 10 euros! The fruit is dark, ripe and warm but it’s well balanced by savory ashy and earthy notes. Good length and complexity. The 15% alcohol made its presence known. No call for a digestive...
