Vinyes Velles Seleccio Terra Alta Grenache Blanc Blend 2018

100% Garnacha Blanca (white Grenache) from 60+ years-old vines rooted in “panal” soils (fossilized sand dunes). Barrel fermented and aged for 8 months in 500 liters French oak barrels. Elegant and complex with aromas of white fruit, apricot, orange rind, almonds and oak. Full-bodied. Peach. Mineral, somewhat saline. Long finish — 2 years ago

2018. Buy a case. Two or three if you’re worried about the election. This wine is as inviting as the winemaker who made it (assuming a Cat). Unabashed pepper, firm oak, biting tannin, brought to bear by the love of grap. Loving it! — 2 years ago

Garnatxa Blanca 2020

I’ve never had a wine from the region of Catalonia near the border of Aragon! Would love to visit the area to see Antoni Gaudi’s architecture in person. This wine made my jawls pucker with the first sip but ended up being really light and refreshing on the palate. — 3 months ago

L'Estel Garnacha-Syrah Blend 2015

Interesting Garnacha/Syrah Blend from Catalonia. Intense aromas of red and black fruit with notes of minerals, stones and baking spices. Dried (intense) red and black berry flavors along with hints of toast and those baking spices. A bit of a green leafy quality which is quite pleasant. Creamy texture. Fine and velvety tannins and nice ruby color. Harmonious and well balanced. Excellent QPR. — 2 years ago
