Scarecrow M Etain

Château Benoit

Arbalest Red Bordeaux Blend

Really solid wine and great QPR. Probably even better than it seems, but had the last sip of the M Etain right before this. — 2 years ago

Better than the 2011 M Etain we opened with it every respect...nose, intensity of flavor, finish...in a word, great — 5 years ago

Scarecrow

Monsieur Ètain Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

Comparing it to a 12 Michel Rolland. Right now out of bottle into decanter the M. ÉTAIN is very more fruit forward with huge structure, and nice tannins. We’ll see in a couple hours with some air — 3 years ago

Hall Wines

Kathryn Hall Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

I like this & the M etain over the Chappellet Pritchard hill, just my unpopular opinion,
But Chappellet had the best nose,

The Jacks and Bergfeld are far better IMO. Their Diamond Mountain is also beautiful

@Melissa Housman In what sense? Bigger or lighter & brighter? I have not had those 2, I enjoy the huge dark black & blue inky wines,

Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon 2005

To be fair, this didn't get an adequate decant. Much larger and robust than the M Etain. I'd give it another 10 years — 4 years ago
