Hungarian Vin Jaune, more or less. Delicious. — 6 months ago

The 2021 Chablis Mont de Milieu 1er Cru was bottled the previous May. It is still obdurate and backward on the nose with touches of yellow fruit and a hint of white peach. The palate is taut and fresh, very saline, but perhaps it doesn't quite deliver the knockout finish I expected from barrel, hence my slightly lower score. Still a serious Chablis, though. Between 90-91 here.
For village level, this is quintessential Chablis. No reductive profile aromatically, simply lemon, honeysuckle, sea spray. While racy, this has good weight on the palate. Underripe peach, almond, and mineral/limestone-like tart profile at the finish. Good acidity. Followed over two days and stayed consistent. — 3 months ago
Fully matured and simply rockin’ it — 4 months ago
$16 from total wine, Kristina likes it. Fruity — 8 months ago
Love this one ! The smoky flavor, caused by the fires nearby, really makes this wine special! — 10 months ago

The 2021 Chablis Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru retains its serious and backward nose, very saline and still with that faint tang of kelp/Japanese nori. The palate is beautifully balanced with a keen thread of acidity, notes of orange rind and a more malic finish than I recall, yet with the same wondrous elegance and poise. This will age wonderfully in bottle and require time for the aromatics to awaken. (Neal Martin, Vinous, September 2023)
