Rich, dank, strawberry, rhubarb, tobacco and exceptionally smooth. — 3 months ago
Clear deep ruby in color with medium intensity and notes of raspberry, strawberry, pomegranate, cloves, . This wine is dry with high acidity, high smooth tannins, high alcohol, full body, and a medium finish. A good wine that can last 1-5 years and is suitable for bottle ageing.89/100 — 4 months ago
Rombauer recommends that this 8 year old bottle should be consumed no later than 5 years. Well this was still the star of the night. Thanks Tom for a Rombauer variety that was new to me. Double Fantastic — 3 months ago
Fun fact (for me anyway): Rombauer makes Sauvignon Blanc under screw cap and it’s good. I’ve been drowning in a wave of SB recently (spoiler alert I’m writing an article) and this shiznit stands up. A very ripe orgy of citrus congregates on the wet river stone nose. Gooseberry crashes the party on the tongue as one does along with a whisper of green apple Jolly Rancher, but in a good way. It’s quite light and gauzy but that gauze has a bit of grip and texture—I’m guessing a small percentage of used barrel showing it’s face? Any which way I like this. — 4 months ago
We had this 166 weeks ago, when son in law Tom shared a sister bottle. We matched this up with grilled Tri Tip. Excellent however it now is more dry, with a slight hint of cork. Still fantastic — 3 months ago
The only Chardonnay I’ve liked. Drank a 2013 aged for 10 years. Syrupy, oaky, sweet, paired great with a roast chicken. — 4 months ago

Pinkish Italian wine, very well developed. Reminds me of a rombauer or earthquake zin. Solid. Only drink if you want something deep, rich, and complex. Pairs very well with green grapes and crackers, but not a dry aged steak or seafood. Not a heavy drinking wine.
