The 2020 Clos René has developed into a powerful, structured wine, much moreso than it was from barrel. Dark cherry, plum, chocolate, leather and licorice are all amplified. This potent, deep Pomerol needs time to soften, that is for sure. There is a lot of wine here. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, February 2023 — 3 months ago
Enjoyed it for Christmas 2022 for the aperitif with blinis caviar and scallops bacon — 5 months ago
Wow - what a burgundy. Not sure it rises to the level of some of the best wines I’ve had but it’s close. Obviously the pricing is now absurd - but this was courtesy of my father in law who bought on release. Quite full bodied and definitely no where near over the hill. Vibrant color, great acid, wonderful balance, full mouthfeel, and beautiful fruit. — 5 months ago

This was drinking well, youthful, open, killer nose showing dark cherry, black berry fruit that was inky with notes of graphite, meat, iron, licorice, menthol, pepper & violet. — 9 hours ago
