Concentrated Mineral apple juice, did better with a 30 minute decant and more of a chill to bring out more citrus — 7 months ago
🤭… ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Alsace Resiling >>> — a year ago
Whites and reds from our recent Confrerie Saint Etienne dinner. I was fortunate to take home the last bottle, and I’m glad we have a few extras to keep hidden in the CSE cellar for a few years to see how they age.
This was paired alongside a Gustave Lorentz Gewurtztraminer Reserve, with the food being Lemon Sole. Wonderful pairing. Hardly any whiff of petrol here…more tropical than anything (guava, green pineapple), lemon and limestone. On the palate, this is one of the more commanding and deeply rich Alsatian Riesling’s I’ve had in a while. It’s nervy down the mid-palate, but really fleshed out on the sides…big time balance. Mineral streak, and total Alsatian vibe to it, but all dialed up to 11 (in a good way). Even over the course of dinner, this improved. Still on the upswing. — 2 months ago
Golden colored trialing. Slight gasoline on the nose followed by dried apricots, lovely complex mouthfeel — 2 months ago
17.5 Definitely ‘off dry’, a lot of residual sugar. Almost unctuous on tongue - lovely mouthfeel. V long. — 4 months ago
Alsace Riesling flight, soul comparison. Prefer calcareous to granite, but think I still prefer Mosel! — 10 months ago
Fascinating riesling. Fragrant floral nose, citrus blossom or jasmine. Intense palate that erupts, full of mineral and spice, then softens at the end. — 3 years ago
Conrad Green

This is lovely. Deep amber in color. The nose is great- tea, spices, a touch of sherry, roses, orange rind, dried flowers. Lovely texture- glycerin and a beautiful balance of sweetness with acidity. Lovely — a month ago
