Tonights wine I have opened is the 2019 Catherine Marshall Sauvignon Blanc Elgin Valley, South Africa.
The nose has beautiful aromatics with abundance of grapefruit, peach, nectarine, green bell pepper, herbs, grass and minerals.
On the palate the is lime, grapefruit, white peach, bell pepper, basil, jalapeño, grass and minerals.
This wine is medium bodied that is rich and mouth filling and medium to medium + acidity with a long crisp clean citrus finish. I hope everyone's weekend is going well? Please continue being safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂 — 13 days ago
Cigna Vicini - 65% Syrah 35% Cabernet Sauvignon blend deep red with pleasant nose. Smooth and well balanced with mouthwatering acids and gentle lingering finish. Layers of flavor - oak & leather in the background with cherry & raspberry with mild spiciness. This blend is becoming one of my favorites from Monte de Oro. — 4 days ago
Another strong year - Bold but balanced with mouthwatering acidity and lingering pleasant finish. Oaky and smoky. — 3 days ago
Returned to excellence this year. Bright fruity nose, deep burgundy color, juicy mouthwatering on the palate - slight effervescence - lots of layers of well balanced Zinfandel, Merlot, Syrah, Cab Franc, and Cab Sauvignon. Mild lingering finish with effervescence returning. Slightly sweet but the balance and complexity make it a pleasant experience. — 7 days ago
Great blend. Nice finish. A little buttery hint. — 14 days ago
Deep, wooden cherry notes flourish both before and after the first taste. The flavor is sophisticated, yet simple. Nothing of note to end, but nothing negative to say about the beginning and middle. A very solid experience. — a month ago
