Qvevri is a large amphora! Big dark fruit bouquet. Soft dark fruit up front. And then a burst of that Zinfandel pepper in the middle. Finishes with an earthiness. You can taste the separate layers! At Bandana’s African Wine Tasting. I had this with a roasted duck bobotie which matched perfectly! — 8 months ago
Paired well with the first boat ride of the season — 3 years ago
Great wine! Decant 2h before and drink at room temperature. Tastes of apricot and honey, mellow sweetness, very little acid. — 3 years ago
Absolutely loved this Georgian rose picked up at Il Vino Torchio. Balances tannins, strawberry first with a dry leathery ending, more like a red than rose. — 2 years ago
Looks like liquid gold. Clear. Apricot on the nose and palate. Dry, medium to full bodied, with no astringency whatsoever and balanced acidity. Long length. Impressive. — 7 months ago
Fun Georgian foraged wine. Surprisingly smooth for a foraged grape, taste like a great French natural wine. Ate with grilled chicken with asparagus and ramps. — 2 years ago
