A bit sharp on the tongue. Wrocław team dinner in Poland. — 8 months ago
Wow! The value of this... 17 EUR a bottle, delivery to Poland from France included. This is a steal!
A gorgeous nose of cherry, wet soil, geranium, licorice... This is intense. The palate shows perfect balance with a nice and long acid backbone, some width and a great, almost crunchy texture with a soft mouthfeel that turns into a turbulent sea in midpalate, with tannins sharpening a bit and giving it another layer. The finish is fruit forward, almost umami, with that layer of turbulences gently brushing up that bright fruit to make it a truly enjoyable tasting experience. That's why you love cru Beaujolais... — 8 months ago
Absolutely love it. Perfect reminder of a brilliant holiday — 2 years ago
the wine was too warm. bad as it influenced my experience. the wine is really good and i know it as this is not my first bottle. leather and oak are at first stage following with read fruits: raspberry and cherry. and the nose!!! — 15 days ago
It's Christmas eve and here in Poland it's a big deal, even bigger than tomorrow actually. It's called wigilia and the big lunch/dinner starts around nightfall (3 PM currently). Traditions dictate that you don't eat meat but fish and winter vegetables (cabbage and potatoes mostly). The star of the show is carp in many different type of serving : fried, in sauce, served cold in gelée... We start eating at 3 pm and get up whenever nobody can eat another bite any more. Usually half of the food remains. Oh and needless to say, the go to drink to go along is wódka, or vodka, drank cold, in small shot glasses, straight down.
Of course I had to bring something special to add to local traditions and this time I went with this one.
The nose is made of honey and baked apples, and saffron. It's a powerful chenin nose, brought to a level I had never encountered. The palate is extremely dry and focused, with a great acid drive, some honey and apple notes all along, a great width, some nice matter and almost a sauternes like mouthfeel, without sugar. The finish is long, fresh and lasts for ever. This is chenin at its best and I heard this was one of the lesser vintages of this. I can't wait to open my 2015 bottle which is quietly waiting for the right moment to be popped open . Great stuff! — 6 months ago
First bottle of a batch that I ordered from my favourite wine merchant in France and that got delivered to my door in Poland.
An old friend that I have missed dearly. Apple, honey, waxy notes and some flowery scents too. This is multidimensional and very great. The palate shows a massive acid backbone, as expected, some stone fruits touches, a great width, a very long and fresh finish with a chalky mouthfeel almost. This is a great chenin. Oh have I missed this! — 9 months ago
Again, great drinking local wines in Krakow. Nice complex wine but not sure if it’s all Cab or a blend. — 19 days ago
First take on the '20 vintage that we brought back to Poland after Christmas . Very intense nose of violets, blackberries, raspberries, cherry, licorice... There is a tiny earthy note too, along with an irony thing. The palate is very well made as always, with a great acid drive, a good width, some red and black fruits touches all along, some drying tannins in the rear and a long finish with fruit and a bit of an umami touch that makes you want to pour yourself another glass right away. It's a bit more complex than '19, with some more layers of texture and taste. I'm obviously partial here but for about 8 eur a bottle from the producer this is extremely great value. — 3 months ago
Very interesting nose with strawberry, gooseberry, cherry and leather. This is very different from any gamay I had ever tasted so far. The palate is marked by a very strong acid backbone and a very lively, almost electric mouthfeel. There are some touches of red berries all along, very few tannins but a drying effect kick in in in the rear and a very long red berry finish. Blind I would have said it's a trousseau from Jura. I like it nevertheless and this is probably the most interesting California wine I have tested thus far (but the good stuff rarely makes it across the pond and through to Poland) — 9 months ago

amazing!!! dark i colour. oily (what you can see on a glass), perfectly built and balanced dry (with a subtle note of sweetness) with medium acidity. crisp and fresh. nose is intensive, floral, white peach, apricot. in mouth blooming with apple. honey, minerals and some freshness from lemon and grapefruit. nice finish. this wine is really really good. and the only thing i’m missing is the petroleum taste. but this one is too young to offer diesel… — 9 days ago
