Tomato leaf, cinnamon, nutmeg, stewed cherry. Aged well but don’t think it’s going to get better. — 5 months ago
Wonderfully balanced Syrah from Sonoma. Smoke, earth, leather, smoked meats , beef jerky and pepper on the nose. On the palate, lots of cranberry, medium minus in acidity but a lingering finish despite the lack of big tannins. 12.5% but this a huge intensity. Northern Rhone in style, loving this bottle. — 21 days ago
👌🏼 bright and fresh, stone fruit, nice acid, ever so slightly pink. Lovely. — 3 months ago
Great gamay noir. — 10 months ago
Great California Syrah. Blackberry, olive, black pepper, a bit floral. Think a fruitier, but juicier northern Rhône Syrah. Very good. — a month ago
Dark without any brown edge. Deep brooding will evolve over the next decade or more! — 2 months ago
14’s are tasting great…actually thought this one might show more- maybe needs more age. — 7 months ago
[note for the Pax Marine Terraces Chenin Blanc 2021, Santa Cruz Mountains] 300 feet above sea level. Whole cluster, 4 months in 60% new Austrian puncheons 500L 40% neutral barrique. Pale lemon, lemon juice, lean and crisp, salty savory on the nose too. Very broad shouldered textural and phenolic on the palate. — a year ago
