Pax

Obsidian Vineyard Syrah 2007

Powerful nose on this original Pax wine. Black olive and black cherry punch you in the face. Rich peppery finish , melds with medium acidity. I actually preferred these younger, but they’ve become sublime in their later life. Just ridiculous — 8 days ago

My steak to asparagus ratio is typically the opposite! Explains why I’m not skinny I guess 😂

Obsidian Ridge Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Deliciously not over the top. Real varietal character, red and blue fruit, terrific texture. You can tell you could lay this down for a long time, but why would you delay gratification? — a month ago

after adequate decanting, taste very powerful and smooth. dark fruit nose. full body, silky tannnin and very bold. 8/10 acidity to form pretty good structure and long lasting up to 15 seconds. — 5 months ago

Red currants, white pepper, herbs on the nose. Very fragrant and inviting. Purple color lighter than expected for a wine of this strength. Very structured fully body Syrah that finishes with persistent tannins. Feels like could age and soften for longer. Great stuff. — a day ago

Half Mile 2640' Cabernet Sauvignon Petit Verdot

First time with the flagship wine after drinking their $25 Cabernet for many years (at least 8 or more). Punches above it’s weight class at $55. I’m disappointed I’ve waited this long. Not overly tannic and sensibly balanced. Will go back for more! — 16 days ago
