Wachau Riesling 2007

Rob N

I really enjoyed this riesling, although it was quite tart to start off. The flavors remain strong although relatively little residual sugar remains. A riesling par excellence. $99, 98 pts RP. — 3 months ago

Vinothek Wachau Riesling 2000

After an hour this had a second gear that gave the Pichler a run. Unlike the other Niks with even more acid to singe the tongue. Bravo. — 6 months ago

Im Weingebirge Smaragd Grüner Veltliner 2013

2013. My wife was making miso-glazed salmon with roasted asparagus and I thought this would pair well. It exceeded expectations and gave a different delicious taste with each different bite. Always rich, it was limey, stoney, floral and many other harder to decipher flavors. We both loved it. — 5 months ago

Federspiel Riesling 2019

Nice pear, grapefruit and stone. Full bodied but good acid. Didn’t totally come together on the finish for some reason. Ostensibly low alcohol but still getting a bit of it on the back end — 9 months ago
