This does not disappoint. Haven’t tasted a huge amount of Tom Lubbe’s wines, but have had the pleasure of meeting him. A wonderful man with great integrity. Marto Weiss is a field blend of seven German varietals from just three hectares of land, most of which see two weeks on skins. Then all together for ten months in neutral oak. It’s a tropical fruit tea blend with beautiful depth and body and clocks in at a measly 10% abv. Aromas of naval orange, roasted pineapple, and flavors of peach apricot iced tea.
Martin studied under Tom Lobbe of Matassa and credits him for much of he has been able to produce.
