Delicious full bodied red with plenty of layers, but the price threw me off a bit. — 3 months ago

Peacock Patch Reserve Zinfandel

Needed to breathe, but it was delicious. Paired well with bunless burgers, pesto pasta and sweet potato fries. — 9 months ago

Wente Vineyards

The Nth Degree Livermore Valley Merlot 2018

Dark ruby color. Blend of fruit from two different vineyards. Touch of Petite Syrah is added. Beautiful aromatics and flavors of cooked ripe red and blue berries, cloves and chocolate. Lush and full but medium bodied with a very soft tannin (velvety smooth) structure. Excellent bottle! — a year ago

Lineage

Livermore Valley Red Bordeaux Blend 2013

Pencil/graphite, cinnamon, cherry, prune, and plum. Still very young and could be laid down for many more years. More Merlot (31%) in this blend than normal which seems to favor red fruit flavors. — 5 months ago

Taylor Reserve Dry Creek Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

From the collection. Wish I would have drank about six months ago, it’s started to mellow out a bit more than I expected. — 3 months ago

Concannon Vineyard

Heritage Petite Sirah 2006

My last bottle of this vintage and I was concerned that it might be corked. But to my pleasant surprise it was very nice for a 17 year old Petite Sirah. A little smoky at first but then it opened up and was delicious. Retained primary fruit on the pallet but not on the nose. Very light tannins with small amounts of sediment in the glass but quite a bit on the bottle neck. Paired perfectly with rotisserie lamb. — 10 months ago
