Bodega DiamAndes

Clos de los Siete Malbec Blend 2017

Interesting blend from seven neighboring vineyards in Argentina, owned by a French wine maker. 52% Malbec, 21% Merlot, 15% Syrah, 7% Cab, 3% petit Verdot, 2% CF. A bit soft for my palate. — 5 days ago

Otra Piel

Gen Fuerza Tranquila Gualtallary Suelo Cabernet Franc Blend 2016

July 24, 2020. 60% Cabernet Franc, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Pinot Noir. Really interesting wine. Intense dark ruby color. Black fruit, baking spices. Beautiful complexity. Was a TTW wine club offering, Feb 2020 - I think the last wine club. 😢 Hope I can get more. — 4 days ago

Bodegas Caro (Barons de Rothschild / Catena)

Amancaya Malbec-Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2018

Medium-bodied, plum / raspberry on the nose with a slight tarty/smokiness finish, which I typically don’t like but in this case I do. Interesting background, Lafite purchased this vineyard in Mendoza, Argentina using European techniques on South American terroir. Little aeration and wine is super plummy and jammy! — 3 days ago
