Very nice full bodies red, went wonderfully with food. 2011 consumed in 2020. Would definitely buy again. — 5 years ago
Very smooth and dry but interesting — 7 years ago
Second bottle from the vintage. More mature, round dark fruit on the palate towards caramelised dried fruits. Acidity balances the sweetness. — 2 years ago
— 7 years ago
Somek Estate winery, Kerem 13. A GSM blend. Medium body, red berries noticed especially strawberry and some mild smokiness attributes. This wine has its unique characteristics, not similar to the south of France blend. — 3 years ago
2016 vintage. Bombastic blend, very ripe. Thick and chewy. Overpowered... — 4 years ago
One of the best I hade in the last years — 5 years ago
— 7 years ago

YA Winery — Kerem Ben-Zimra Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon V.2020
100% Cabernet Sauvignon | Upper Galilee, Israel
Sourced from the heart of Moshav Kerem Ben Zimra, one of Israel’s most prized terroirs, this reserve-level Cabernet Sauvignon is aged a minimum of 12 months in French oak barrels, showcasing the region’s full potential.
On the nose:
Rich and intense aromas of ripe blueberries and mulberries lead the way, evolving slowly in the glass. Give it time, it rewards patience.
On the palate:
The depth continues with baked dark red fruits, layered with herbaceous notes of sage and tarragon, alongside hints of toasty oak, mocha, caramelized vanilla, and roasted nuts. There’s even a delicate warmth of cinnamon and clove peeking through.
Mouthfeel & structure:
This is a full-bodied, powerful wine with a rustic charm. Firm, structured tannins frame its bold personality, making it a compelling food-pairing companion. Its complexity and savory undertones call out for grilled vegetables, roasted meats, or spiced Mediterranean fare.
Final thoughts:
A deep, expressive, and food-driven Cabernet that delivers both power and character. A true taste of Israel’s northern heights. Kosher for Passover and all year-round — 4 days ago
