Light enough for sipping but holds its own with a meal.

Tasted semi-blind and wrote down the same thing I did for the 2018: it smells like church! I’m trying to figure out why I wrote it, but the minerality is similar to what you smell when you enter an old white marble church. Maybe some of the florals too?

Honeyed florals, candied ginger, fennel and crushed green apples form a spicy, inviting bouquet as the 2023 Etna Bianco opens in the glass. Ripe orchard fruit plays against a core of salty minerals and savory spices. The 2023 tapers off perfumed and long, leaving a pleasantly sour citrus tinge. $22.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, July 2024) — 2 months ago

Coda with my queen. Italian blended Chardonnay which proved excellent soft and luscious on the palate would love to buy this one — 4 months ago
Citrus and stone fruit-forward—my mouth was watering before I even took a sip. A sip brings more sweet citrus, a bit of florals and minerality with zippy acid and medium alcohol (12.5). Tingly too! Makes me think of a lime lozenge, but is bone dry. Imagine sucking on said lozenge lying on the sidewalk after a rain. Very pleasant if you appreciate that sort of thing (I do). — 4 months ago
