1991 Dominus. Dinner with J&L B and D&M H, while staying with D&M in Santa Ynez. Opened and decanted right before serving. Loved it. Drinking beautifully. Still had some fruit in it but well balanced and some good earthy qualities. JB and I preferred this to the ‘94 Screaming Eagle we drank afterwards. — 6 years ago

Cork smelled like a really nice cigar. On the aroma I’m getting more fresh tobacco, peppercorn and cedar. A sticky mouthfeel dominates the first sip, but the second sip shows a delicate acid that reminds me of key lime. Surprised at the amount of acid and bright fruit that come through considering the aroma. Overall not too bad! — 5 years ago

1994 Screaming Eagle. Dinner w J&L B and D&M H while staying with D&M in Santa Ynez. Opened and waited about an hour. Decanted right before serving. Tons of jammy dark fruit. Opened more in the glass. JB mentioned full palate and balance. Great finish. Preferred this to ‘91 Dominus once this opened up. — 6 years ago
