Wow! Meaty, blackberry, saline, rose — 2 days ago
While only my 3rd time having this bottling, Guillaume’s BdB has definitely become one of absolute favorite Champagnes. 2019 disgorgment based mostly on the 2013 vintage and coming from 70+ year old vines (given to Guillaume on his 18th birthday from his grandmother), is really so singular. With extended aeration, it takes on the face of a hypothetical sparkling Montrachet with age.
Its ultra expressive aromatics detail layer upon layer of caramelized orchard fruit, roasted nuts, toffee, oak spice and lavender. The palate shows incredible depth with a seamless marriage of richness and elegance and a long, vibrant, chalky mineral and saline finish. So good. Just 600 bottles made! — 7 months ago

Disgorged 2017. My first time tasting the wine of the heir apparent. One attempts to taste without any preconceived expectations. Certainly did not have the same level of oxidative notes that are often found in his dad’s wine. The nose is filled with apples, peach and hazelnuts. My palate was swathed in peach and apricot, along with notes of red fruit. Good acidity but lacking in serious complexity at this stage. — 25 days ago
