Medium pink.
Aromas of grapefruit, red cherry
Sweet. Flavors of grapefruit, red licorice, red cherry candy. Lovely! — 4 months ago
Lovely bright medium ruby colour , wide light ruby rim . Strawberry , red cherry and raspberry nose along with a meaty touch , and dried herbs . On the palate sweet red cherries predominate , dried herbs , that meaty character returns plus a touch of liquorice. Nice roundness balanced by fresh acidity , rounded but pretty noticeable tannin . The alcohol is slightly noticeable but does not unbalance the wine , better to serve this slightly cool. Fills out well on the palate and offers a fresh and elegant finish with good length. This is nice now , still young and will be able to age over the next decade, an excellent if quite expensive Rosso. — 8 months ago
Beautiful wine. Easy to drink but not weak. Strong for a Riesling. A good winter white. — 21 days ago
Popped and poured; no formal notes. Bright golden color; persistent mousse; lemon citrus, meringue, brioche for dayzzz. Fantastic acid. Long finish. Gastronomic bubbles but so good it can be enjoyed on its own. This is far and away the greatest sparkling wine I’ve yet had from Italy. A wow wine. Too bad it’s priced like tête de cuvée Champagne. Regardless, whenever someone is pouring it, you should shift your attention to this. “I know I would. Heck, I’d go back for seconds!” Drink now or over the next 10+ years. — 4 months ago
@Delectable Wine this is the Blanc de Noir*
One of Piedmont’s newest DOCs — for Metodo Classico wines from traditional French varieties. Why should Franciacorta & Trentodoc have all the fun? Great opener to one of best lunches / meals we had in Italy. — 5 months ago
From Cork. On 10/21/2023, extremely strong acidity – we thought it was corked. — 2 months ago
Miles to go. Beautiful, but too young. Glad I have more! — 2 months ago
A lot of cherry, really opened up over time. Line it though! — 4 months ago
Named after Giulio Ferrari, who made the first Italian traditional method sparkling wine in 1902. Entirely made from Chardonnay and aged on the lees for a minimum of 15 months, the Ferrari NV Brut unfolds precise aromas of white peach, lemon peel, ripe apple and brioche, wrapped in a distinctive smokiness. The crisp acidity provides a firm backbone, giving this medium-bodied Trentodoc a lifting freshness. Drink now. — a year ago
