Had this wonderful bottle with dinner tonight, possibly the best Primitivo I have had. — 5 years ago
This Primitivo shows a medium-dark tint in the glass and a nose that is all fruit, all the time. Cherry aromas are joined by notes of plum and cassis, with just a hint of oak. After it sits for a bit, a whiff of smoke gathers at the top of the glass. The palate shows a lot of earthiness and a chalky quality, which we can chalk up to minerality. There is a lengthy finish that turns slightly tart on the fade. I would love to have this wine with some nice Italian sausages and pasta, or a meatball sub.

Love it. Super fruchtig, leichte Süße, weich und tolle tiefrote Farbe. — 4 years ago
It has a funk at the end that I haven’t decided if I like it or not. But still, get red wine. — 5 years ago

Absolutely delicious interpretation of the Susumaniello grape. Has a beautiful aroma of strawberries and blueberries on the pallet it has a nice viscosity and a lean balanced body. Overall nice acidity and long lasting finesse 🍷✨ Salute! — 4 years ago
Delightful, easy drinking primitivo. Really exciting on the nose: blackberry, tobacco and dark chocolate. Cinnamon white pepper, and Hungarian paprika are added on the palate (midpalate to finish), and the dark chocolate notes appear more as dark roast coffee on the palate. Score is lower than I would give it otherwise because it is a bit flabby for my taste. This makes it a good easy drinker though because it is very smooth. Acid is on the low side for the varietal and you really only get the tannins on the finish. Definitely one to buy again though. Good value at $20 and quite approachable for dinner party guests. — 5 years ago
S.S. Mandani
Such a cool story and bottle. The grower harvests only the second flower which doesn’t happen every year and so this wine only gets bottled every other year, making it a special find.
Never seen a color in the glass like this one. A velvet plush hue of pink crimson and luxurious light mauve.
Subtle strawberries, raspberries, and red roses in the bouquet.
Absolutely divine. I imagine this to be the sweet honey of the demigods. Fruit punch like drinkability and yet the elegance, lightness, and sophistication of Barbaresco. Crushed rose petals, crunchy goodness.
Very memorable. — 13 days ago
