Unique in many ways. Aromatics and acidity were upfront with a mouth coating wave of wet stone and white flowers. This wine was so rich and balanced- you could drink glass after glass and not be bored. A true joy to drink and share. Very well made. — 2 months ago
Occasionally, I gamble on 2nd, 3rd wines or even a Bordeaux Superior in grand Bordeaux vintages. Sometimes you find wines that out shine their price point. This is a bit less than I hoped for, yet still a nice wine at this age.
The Roasted, Rosemary Potatoes were best with Burgundy and the AB Ribcover best with the Bordeaux.
Always have two wines for your entree & sides . It’s always paid dividends for us.
She is; ripe w/ dark currants & earthy dirty. Blackberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, black plum, plum, poached strawberries, raspberries, dry cranberries, Australian blue fruits, dry, crushed rocks, limestone, slightly moist clay, soft, dry tobacco, soft leather, dark, rich earth, leaves, dry river stones, black licorice core, fresh herbs-sage, saddlewood, graphite, brown volcanics, melted brown sugar, dark spices w/ heat nutmeg, cinnamon, vanillin, melted caramel, mocha powder, fresh; red, dark, blue & purple florals. The acidity marries the vintage. The finish is; ripe, rich, elegant, herbaceousness, earthy and spice driven on the long set. — a month ago
Deep butter, boysenberry, and blackberries on the nose. Right on the cusp of maturity in my humble opinion but absolutely wonderful. Full body of dark purple jams very little tannins. I took a gamble hoping that age would beautify this wine and I suspect that’s the case. Yum! — 7 months ago
Really dig all of their Syrahs I’ve tried. Felt like a gamble buying a bunch of wine based on a podcast ad but this one paid off. — 2 days ago
Took a gamble on a PA state store “Chairman’s Selection “. Very good, went well with my home-cooked steak, would get again. — a month ago

Had this with take away from Red Ocotillo.
Pleasant enough, nothing special. — 7 months ago
Really liked this. Took a chance because the cost was right up there with the more affordable Barolos but thought that might have made it a good gamble. I’ve had a Barbera by Voerzio that I enjoyed. Classic beautiful Nebbiolo colour, most prominent on the nose for me was wood - cedar I’d say. Tasting strawberry - fruity for sure but with great structure to support it. Having said that, I didn’t find it to be overly aggressive on acid or tannins. I dig! — 3 days ago
Coming along nicely. Nice & smooth. — 4 months ago
I was looking for a wine that would pair with Indian curries and took a gamble on this Alsacian white. It paid off. I think Guy Ritchie was describing this when he wrote, “You’re fat, and look as though you should be, but you’re not.” Smells sweet, comes from a bottle that looks like it will be, but is surprisingly dry. — 6 months ago
