Pineapple and oak predominate with sliced apples and pears. Balanced with a nice elegant feel that bridges the profiles of California and France — 6 days ago
So strong it will grow hair on your chest. This wine needs another five years before opening. No question this is a well-made wine with extraordinary potential. Slightly sweet to start, smooth tannins in the finish. Overwhelming fruit to start. — a month ago
A nice weekday wine... Bitchin! — a month ago
$15 closeout & feels like theft! Inky massive, voluptuous wafting tons of dense black fruit, brooding, white pepper, game, bit feral, had a bit more nuance than many garden variety Shiraz. Very broad across the middle, generous ripe black fruit & pepper, decent balance, little clumsy & provincial, but definitely enjoyable. — 5 months ago
This wine is all about black olive...never had a wine that has such clarity of flavour in one particular direction. That being said it definately not one dimensional and there is so much to enjoy. We had this with lamb but it could go excellently with anything with tomatoes or even heavier fish like cod or monkfish. — a month ago
Full-bodied without being too fruity. Very well-balanced. — a month ago
A surprise for us, having not tasted it at Domaine Drouhin. Able to stand up to the better Willamette chardonnay and worth getting again. — 4 months ago

Decanted this 2006 for a day before drinking. I did taste when I first opened and it was good but after a day it was soft and luscious in the mouth and tasted precisely like what it is, a merlot driven Bordeaux. It paired beautifully with a hearty beef stew and then was great on its own. — a day ago
