Pop and pour. A wondrous medium deep ruby red color. On the nose: beautiful...very aromatic with tart cherry, earth, wet forest floor, raspberry, spice, floral. Taste: smooth, juicy, rich, layered medium plus body wine with tart cherry, minerals, mandarin peel, black tea, and a peppery leather LONG finish. YUM...Donum West Slope never disappoints, especially with some age on it!!! — a month ago
In magnum...its going to be a fun Friday night! Hour decant. A brilliant medium ruby red color. On the nose: jumping from the glass are cherry, wet leaves, a vanilla strawberry, smokey earth, and a little floral. Taste: A creamy, fresh medium plus body wine with cherry, orange peel, minerals, earthy, and a spiced dark plum long finish with just a hint of tannins still kicking. YUM. — 7 months ago
Haven’t opened this one for a bit. Developing nicely! Earth and smashed blackberries on the nose. The palate is black cherry with a hint of vanilla and just enough stem to balance it and give it structure. — 8 months ago

Donum, magnum, 2012 is a limited edition produced from their three finest blocks; once and only bottle named the “1870.” A nice ruby red with definite signs of bricking giving it an amber like color. Cherry-raspberry fruit jumps from the glass with scents of floral, spice, a pine forest floor, vanilla and sandal-wood cedar with a lingering smokiness at the end giving the pinot a well rounded nose. Taste - cherry, blackberry and raspberry fruit flavors, pepper and tea spices with subtle anise and a licorice earthy medium finish. Tannins are still present but blended. Be interesting to see how it opens up throughout the evening. — 5 months ago
Delicious, dark fruit, smooth and elegant — 7 months ago
Luv this Pinot! Color is a medium to dark crimson with some bricking giving it a brownish overtone. Dark cherry, wet tea leaves and savory scents of crushed rock, smoky herbs, slight meatiness and forest floor. Taste is creamy and full bodied, cherry-raspberry fruit burst on the palate with mineral-spices and orange peel and slight tannins adding to its dry medium finish. — 3 months ago
150 cases from this east sloping block on their Caneros estate.
Pop and pour. A wondrous medium tawny red color. On the nose: Beautiful expressive nose of cherry, wet tea leaves, strawberry, sandlewood, floral, spice, and vanilla tapioca. Taste: smooth, creamy polished medium plus body wine with easy cherry, orange peel, pine, raspberry, and a spicy herbal tea long finish. Cooler part of their estate and the most Burgundy style of the Donum wines. Cheers! — 4 months ago
Just a great full body Pinot (2013) — 7 months ago
Donum 2017 Russian River Pinot. A clear bright true garnet color. What a nose! Dark candy cherry and spice burst from the glass with hints of vanilla and subtle cedar and hay. Taste—a dark cherry flavor full of body with a savory feel that sits on the tongue to the mid pallet absorbing the taste of the fruit trickling on the sides of the pallet. The flavors change to a more metallic bitter taste at the back of tongue where the tannins need to integrate with the other flavors of the wine. Can’t wait to try this wine in 5-10 years. A must wine cellar! — 8 months ago
