Had this at the Court of Two Sisters in New Orleans. Big cherry flavor with leather and oak. Smooth as can be! — 9 days ago
Initial notes of honeysuckle and mineral, also white flowers - Barb thought daisies. A lovely Premier Cru white burgundy. Sweetish palate. I haven’t had a lot of experience with white burgundies from Nuits St Georges so not sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Admittedly from a well credentialed producer. — a month ago
Sour cherry, underbrush, black pepper, plums. Very savory and tasty. Very good. — 6 days ago
Pop and pour. This time my wife said it: this is good, but is now inching downward. On the nose: soft game, cherry, brown sugar, spice, bark, savory herbs. On the palate: good acidity up front, cola, root beer, soft medicinal herbs. Fantastic density, and completely secondary, but leaning tertiary. A touch of tannin hanging on at the finish. In a very good place, but definitely beginning its decline. — 21 days ago
Showing so well. Just ridiculous. Nose is dark cherries. Some cocoa. Leather. Spice. Serious saddle leather. Mineral and so so aromatic. Palate is so brilliant. Red fruited. Lacey. It’s got and exquisite sweetness to the fruit and an energy to the finish that never stops pumping. Just amazing. — a month ago
CLB! Always a sure thing. It’s consistently distinctive with soaring aromatics, piercing fruit purity and an elegant, balanced and vibrant palate. 2014 CGV continues to require a bit more air than its year older sibling, 2013, which is an easy pnp, but it comes around to show what a special Monopole it is. NSG with Vosne flair. Delicious. — 20 days ago
Comes out earthy and a touch funky, which fades with time open, leaving behind pure brambly berry fruit. Delicate, with good concentration and length. — 11 days ago

Blinded. Clearly Burg, natty, and 18’. No one got the appellation. Loved the vitality here - pure dark berry energy, almost crystalline if not for the fruit sweetness (though it’s not as sweet as the other 18’ Burg on the table), juicy acidity, long finish accented by smoke and spice, and some noticeable fine tannins that gave the wine such a lovely texture. First encounter with this negociant (cooper turned winemaker!) and I’m keen to find out more! — 13 days ago
