The nose opens with ripe yellow apple, poached pear, and a touch of roasted almond, all lifted by floral notes of acacia and a subtle, crushed stone minerality. On the palate, it is medium to full and layered, with a beautifully satiny texture that glides to a long, harmonious finish.

1986 vintage. Intoxicating perfume of crushed strawberries and sweet roses at the height of the bloom. Profound with layered fruit and velvety tannin, delicate and concentrated at the same time. Very long. An amazing effort for the vintage, that in Decanter is described as "a large crop of indifferent quality with poor concentration". Highly recommended. — 3 years ago
Welcoming the Holiday Season ⛄️❄️🎅🎁 Cheers!🥂
Round, viscous & gently waxy. Meyer slightly sour lemon, some lime zest, dry stone fruits-apricot lead, pineapple syrup, tropical melon, some green apple, slightly, overripe pear, orange peel, honeycomb-pot, marmalade fruit bits, melted caramel, coconut hues, pronounced salinity, dry herbs, mid white spice, crumbled chalk & volcanics, limestone marl, sea fossils, dry twig notes, white & Spring flowers with greens, very nice round acidity, well balanced, nicely layered, elegant, polished finish that lasts two-minutes and lands on spice & minerals on the long set.

2022 vintage. Most excellent lunchtime visit from the esteemed @Pinotman /// Andreas . A fave C-M plot. Premmie Cru (always nice) effort. We traced this wine through the various temps. Generous, yet balanced acidity coupled with fruit in the early, chilly going. Light-medium/medium body. Back-end oak influence that was complimentary during the visit. Never got flabby…even when it warmed up to 60+ degrees. Classically structured with phenomenal tension. No rush to crush yet drinking so well so early. Decisions…decisions. Enjoy as you will under your preferred palate/aging guidelines. There is no wrong answer here. 11 bottles left and I only can wish of having another case at my disposal. Picked up a case of this, Les Vergers and Les Caillerets after only sampling Les Vergers (9.4) from the 2022 vintage. May have lucked out on that flyer. 3.4.26. — 16 hours ago
