Blend of 66% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, and the rest a mix of permitted varieties, Medium Ruby with aromas of ripe black fruits and earthy pepper spice. On the palate complex rich flavors of cherry and blackberry, with oak, leather, cacao and earthy spice. Full body, well balanced, fine tannins, long finish, perfect now but will last another decade. The 2021 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc is a blend of 30% Clairette, 25% Bourboulenc, 22% Roussanne, 20% Grenache Blanc and other permitted varieties. It mixes aromas of spring blossom, grapefruit, white peach, ginger, pineapple and a pinch of honey. This 2021 Blanc sports a medium to full body, nicely framed by round acidity and ends with a bright finish. (Nicolas Greinacher, Vinous, June 2023) — 3 months ago
