Robust viognier based blend that is heavy enough to please chardonnay drinkers but breezy enough to please the casual wine-o who wants something for a nice summer day on the porch. Loved it! — 9 years ago
On the lighter side for a Syrah, which is great when you want those red wine flavors in the summer. Ligonberry, boysenberry, blackberry, violets, smoke, and touch of earthiness. Lots of sediment. — 10 years ago
Bracing acidity that seems reminiscent of a Barolo underneath a core of beautiful pure fruit. Red berries and black plum with a bit of apple and rosehips. There's a bit of spicy complexity just starting to peek out. I expect this to peak nicely in two years. — 13 years ago
Craft Wine CO’s “Minimus” range and the grapes are from “Cowhorn Vineyard.” I don’t even need to see the label to know this will have some biodynamic tendencies and I should wait for a fruit day.
80% Grenache and 20% Shiraz with the characteristic southern Rhône of plum, black currant, spice, and pepper. There seems to be some red fruit too. Great acidic balance and structure, medium tannins. Tastes bright and refreshing. — 3 years ago
On it. Missing smoke but otherwise pretty much perfect. Got better with every glass. — 9 years ago
Favorite Domestic Syrah to date. 2012 vintage-- was even better the second day. Aromatic, smooth, incredibly balanced. — 10 years ago
Quickly becoming one of my favorites. Incredible texture expression — 10 years ago
Very solid Syrah. Had it first at Sushi Ran. Easy to buy from the vineyard and worth it. — 12 years ago
We keep looking for a Syrah that wows us like the Shiraz found in Australia. Getting closer! Very earthy and dry. — 5 years ago
My wife commented that this had too much color and heft, given its age.
Deep, vibrant purple. Intense plummy fruit bouyed w warm toasted aromas that conjure vanilla, cumin, toasted oak. Dense, fleshy, long, with resolved tannins that still offer plenty of structure and elegant acidity. Among the best domestic, 'natural' wines I've had. — 5 years ago
Strong showing from a young producer. Rich and buttery with clear notes of pear and lemon. — 9 years ago
Luchious melony pears white peaches lovely wine — 9 years ago
Ridiculously balanced, clean, ripe and smooth- all at the same time. We did a tasting here and ended with this. All before it paled. Dried apricot, grass, lemon peel, spiced pear. Heaven. — 10 years ago
Cocktail wine at its best, drink now, but perfect! — 11 years ago
A lovely wine still showing lots of youthful fruit alongside a deep, earthy, and downright bloody depth. Nose is nutmeg and sweet black fruit. Palate is balanced with a bit rustic tannins, plum, blackberry, and sweet raspberry. Long, spicy finish too. I wish I had left this one lying down another two years... — 12 years ago
