Château Tertre Daugay

Château Le Tertre Rôteboeuf

Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 1990

Tasted blind. Deep, dark amber tinged and tawny color. Hits me immediately as a gravel-influenced Bordeaux and I’m am in Graves with my guess. Notes of tobacco, graphite, ash, earth and gravel stone. Big shoulders, and a little hot. Yet silky in the mouth. I guess 82 La Mish HB. This has plenty of life in front of it, but give it 5+ hrs of air if consuming in the near term as the provider of this wine did. — 20 days ago

Château Carteau

Cotes Daugay Saint Emilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 1970

1970 vintage in 2019 and still has legs! Bottle was purchased in an auction almost like a joke, but the color was still bright, tanins still carrying the distance, and still nice notes of hay, cassis and red fruits. — 10 months ago

Château Daugay

St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2012

Quite nice: the structure has come together noticeably in the past two years: it’s the 2012, and it wasn’t quite balanced after 6 years but now, at 8, it works. You get nice misty earth on the nose, ripe fruit on the approach, with soft tannins and a little soft mineral on the finish. — 2 months ago

Château Roc de Cambes

Côtes de Bourg Red Bordeaux Blend 2014

Côtes de Bourg is a Bordeaux region that many don’t know that delivers incredible wines for a fraction of the price of other regions. This higher priced bottle at £40+ sure delivers an amazing wine that would be triple in St Emilion & made by the folks from Tertre Rôteboeuf & called “the junior Tertre Rôteboeuf“ 👍 Drinking great young but will improve 😉
