I had this side by side with the Tayac from Margaux and I gotta be honest the Dufort Vivens had a lot more going on big currants spice my second favorite left back on the flight good balance — 8 years ago
Spice, smoke, cloves, leather, blackberry/dark fruits. Medium plus body, dusty tannins 2019 vintage ..opened too soon but delicious — 4 months ago
Very enjoyable wine. I had this post dinner; I imagine it would be much more enjoyable with a red meat protein (cooked medium rare) or maybe a red pasta. Nice balanced fruit in nose and taste; after taste consistent with a Bordeaux — 4 years ago
Took a bit of time to really come to life. Gorgeous nose. Tasting fresh but with some depth. Bargain for a Bordeaux. — 7 years ago
Nothing but secondary and tertiary notes on the nose. Hoisin sauce, shoe leather, luxardo cherry reduction. On the palate, light and fresh. Lots going on. Still some tannins on the back end. A treat. — 2 years ago
I am slightly biased towards merlot dominant Bordeaux blends but damn. I love the flavour profile. This is drinking very well, from a good vintage. — 5 years ago
Young but more complex than similar aged. Great with cheeses, spicy chicken, and Christmas cookies! 😬 — 7 years ago
