Château Tayac

Château Grand Tayac

Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

Very nice. Nose has cedar, crushed gravel, a bit of graphite, and a beam of focused cassis. Intense and savory in the mouth, with iron and iodine notes going along with the dark fruit. Great acidity and the tannins are there but ripe. Really nice now. Probably will improve over the next 2-4 years. — 7 months ago

I am slightly biased towards merlot dominant Bordeaux blends but damn. I love the flavour profile. This is drinking very well, from a good vintage. — 4 years ago

Took a bit of time to really come to life. Gorgeous nose. Tasting fresh but with some depth. Bargain for a Bordeaux. — 6 years ago

Château Labory de Tayac

Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 1999

Nothing but secondary and tertiary notes on the nose. Hoisin sauce, shoe leather, luxardo cherry reduction. On the palate, light and fresh. Lots going on. Still some tannins on the back end. A treat. — 9 months ago

Château Haut-Tayac

Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2013

Very enjoyable wine. I had this post dinner; I imagine it would be much more enjoyable with a red meat protein (cooked medium rare) or maybe a red pasta. Nice balanced fruit in nose and taste; after taste consistent with a Bordeaux — 3 years ago
