Can’t improve or vary my tasting note from December 2022 of this excellent aged Semillon. Still quite pale for a 12 year old white wine. Notes of buttered toast and lime. Lanolin and lemon on the palate with that waxy texture. Medium weight with enough citric acid to carry on for a few more years. Such purity. Matured in stainless steel. Zero oak. A saline note at the finish. — 2 months ago
A little long in the tooth but still very tasty — 4 months ago
Dark cherry and briar. On the palate medium + intensity - heavy spice. No other word for it but delicious. One of the jewels of Central Otago along with Block 3. A gift from a good mate who loves new world Pinot Noir, for my 70th last year. A gorgeous wine. — 18 days ago

Medium ruby quite wide light garnet rim . Touches of wood spice and ripe strawberry , raspberry , star anise . Quite ripe and sweet fruit in the mouth, touches of dry spices as well. There is a meaty quality to this in the palate , quite rich and mouth-filling . Ok acidity , quite ripe but noticeable tannins , just protruding alcohol . On the finish nice ripe slightly darker fruits, spiced strawberries , ok length . Probably just slightly young , needs another couple of years and will hold well for at least further 6-8 years. The recently tried 2016 Moonlight Race impressed me a little more than this — 2 months ago
Deep, dark, inky Pinot - more like an aged Syrah — a month ago
A gorgeous perfume and palate - just a gorgeous wine. The Viognier giving a noticeable apricot note together with dried black cherry and a touch of cinnamon. Medium to full bodied finishing with supple tannins. This has been the benchmark for Shiraz Viognier in Australia for as long as I can remember. — 2 months ago
1987 - a bit of fruit left, all tannin gone. — 4 months ago

Oddball geeky wine for sure - cross of Riesling and Sylvaner from the remote Central Otago region.
Agree with the comments - certainly more Riesling on the nose (shower curtain, tropical fruit), with Sylvaner coming in more on the palate (green fruit, white pepper, herbaceous ness). A light, insanely drinkable wine with surprisingly layers of complexity (is that schisty minerality there? Indeed it is! Some green papaya and makrut lime? That too. Citrus and orchard fruit? Uh huh. And, dare I go there, kiwi? Yup!
There’s definitely some RS in there, but acidity is high enough that it holds it well.. Not much of a finish, but none needed.
I really enjoyed this wine; my dinner companion was more meh. — 21 days ago
