Really liked this. Smooth, spicy finish. WOM 5-22. — 23 days ago
Dark and brooding with deep flavor, dark cherry, cedar, leather, and tobacco. Good freshness and gentle grip.
It came out of the bottle with sharp edges and harsh tannins, but really came together and drank beautifully after a 1.5 hour decant. — 2 months ago
Good quality - excellent on a daily basis. The wine is made with Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Syrah, Cabernet e some others red grapes. It is medium body and fresh on the palate. The tannin is firm but velvet and is in balance with the fruit. Can drink now: not suitable for ageing.

This is a very tasty Chianti Classico Reserva. This 7 year old is still young, but already enjoyable even by itself.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with red and black fruits, oak, coffee, earth, spices, vegetables, tobacco leaf and peppercorn.
Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years.
A good food wine that I paired with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
A blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Canaiolo. Aged in French oak barrels for 24 months.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

Wonderful and light. Bing cherry, pomegranate, definitely raspberry — 6 days ago
Strawberry, cassis, raspberry, earth, big grippy tannins and bright acid — 18 days ago
Poured into a decanter about two hours before service; no formal notes. The 2018 Montevertine is a bit of a show-off with bright, flashy ripened cherries, porchini, red flowers, dusty earth and orange peel. Significant structure should allow for a hearty life. The finish is full of class. This has to be the aspiration of every Chianti Classico. — 2 months ago
