Côtes Catalanes, Roussillon

Orin Swift D 66 Vin de Pays des Côtes Catalanes Grenache Blend

2009 teeth staining, inky, dark, full of alcohol after 12 years laying down. Not too fruity—for a Grenache. Plum jam. Hints of oak. — 4 days ago

Le Passage Côtes du Roussillon Red Rhone Blend 2018

Picked up a bunch of nice QPR summer wines from CSW. First up - Great fruit, all out front, with enough structure to hold it together. — a month ago

Crazy good. Not a hint of age. Developed over an hour or two to increase in richness and dimension. — 16 days ago

This was in fantastic shape. Completely unexpected aroma and flavor to start - fruity and acidic, and then opened up very nicely. Really impressive. The age added complexity after about 30 minutes.

Gorgeous with smoked pork, open and sit for a while breathing, marvelous with spicy food. — 23 days ago

Les Vignerons de Tautavel Vingrau

Syrousse Côtes du Roussillon Villages Red Rhône Blend 2012

Rhône-like Red Blend (60% Syrah, 20% Grenache and 10% Carignan). Wonderful bright raspberry fruit aromas and flavors with hints of dried herbs, baking spices and purple flowers. Not sensing any oak, but there is a Smokey element on the finish. Bright with fresh acidity. — 24 days ago

Grand Terroir Tautavel Grenache Blend 2017

Ripe dark fruits and garrigue - thyme, black pepper, light lavender, and hint of mint - fill the aromatic nose. Medium body. Soft entry with round acidity. A bit astringent as the finish.

This is my 2nd bottle from the village of Tautavel. Not as impressive as the 100% Grenache bottling, but still quite nice. Good expression of the terroir.
