La Grande Année Brut Champagne Blend 2012

Still so tightly wound. Opened up around 40 mins in. Classic Bolly, very strong acidity pulling the whole thing. More pear fruit than I generally expect. Sock away for 5-7 years. — 11 days ago

Thought I’d finally try this Bollinger created cuvée.

Nice, light, lively citrus & spring flowers. Very nice for its Costco price point.

Vintage Rose Limited Edition 2006

This is a delicious Vintage Rosé Champagne from a great vintage.

Showing lots of bread and yeast notes, citrus, over ripen apples, spices, minerals, white pepper, sea salt, light earth and herbs.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity, and nicely integrated small bubbles. Just the way I prefer it.

This 15 year old is very tasty now. Nicely balanced with lots of complexity.

Thank you John for sharing this with me.

Good by itself or with food. I didn't need anything but a nice glass with it.

12% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

Brut Classic Cuvée Sparkling Blend

Wasn’t expecting to like English sparkling nearly as much as I’m enjoying this bottle. A truly bizarre combination of ripe fruit and racy acidity (higher than the average for champagne) that can only come from somewhere this far north > 50 degrees latitude (long growing season + long days during growing season). Lemon curd, green apple danish, even notes of pear and passion fruit. Bond may have to trade out his Bollinger for this. — 2 months ago
