Red cherry, strawberry, plum, fresh herbs, balsamic, and hint of lavender fills an aromatic and deep nose. Soft juicy entry with flavors mimic the nose but lightly candied. Medium to full body that’s beautifully textured. Bright acidity and polished tannins.
This is in great contrast to Alto Moncayo, showing off PN-like elegance. Still packing a punch though. Need to find couple of bottles to cellar. — 15 days ago
El Puntido from Viñedos de Páganos is a 100% Tempranillo red wine from Rioja.
It is fresh, fruitforward with dark red fruits and quite some depth and length. Viñedos de Páganos is one of the many estates of the Eguren family, winemakers in Rioja with a 150 year history, amongst which Sierra Cantabria, San Vicente and La Nieta. — 20 days ago

Haven’t tried the other years. But this is award winning for a reason. Needs a little time to breathe, great for a warm summers evening — 14 days ago
Fantastic and clean. Riesling like in character with light minerals and beautiful notes of chalk and slate. — 14 days ago
Really good Tempranillo, so sapid and spicy. A bit alcoholic. Old 2018. I think it should stay in the cellar a while — 24 days ago
Wanted wine on a Wednesday. Very refreshing. Bar and garden wine club. Would repurchase for white to keep on hand. — 9 days ago
A big old wine of classical enjoyment. Valbuena 5 of 1988 is blasting beyond my expectation. The aroma is so unbelievably complicated that you almost forgot its millesime. The acidity and body are still at their heyday. Valbuena always outperforms my view on tempranillo. Recommend to age 5 years more this vintage. — 11 days ago
