From a nice old-looking bottle with a fill into the neck. Reddish tawny color. Bright fruit-forward nose. Notes of red fruit, spice, red flowers, mint and some moist forest earth. Great aromatics. Decent fruit remaining with nicely integrated tannins and great, balanced structure. This improved over the evening... quiet at first (despite 4+ hours of decanter time), but showed its stuff later on. — 17 days ago

N: Watermelon Jolly Rancher nose, some herbal qualities around the edges.
P: Watermelons, Strawberries, lil’ bit o’ cherry. Interesting Garnacha varietal, little bit of frizzante going in. Very light soil thing going on both nose and palate.
Highly refreshing. Interesting mouthfeel, not quite polished.
No added sulfites. The natty crowd should drink up. — a day ago

The wine was Protos Roble “Ribera Duero”. There are some matches but the main name “Protos” is missing. Pleasant enough with our Italian dinners. One of my favorites that we’ve had in Spain. €23 on the restaurant wine list. — 3 hours ago
This is the Artazu Pasos de San Martin Navarra, a varietal Garnacha. A bit sleepy before it gets air, it gradually Benjamin Buttons and develops a terrifically pure nose of kirsch and raspberry ooze, along with crushed rock dust and sandalwood. In the mouth it’s got intense fruit, but is laser-focused and has excellent acids. Zero flab.
Just enough tannin to package it all. Really nice rendition of Grenache. — a month ago
