One of the best riojas we’ve ever had, period. — 5 months ago
Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.
Full bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, spices, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, earth and black pepper.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.
This young Tempranillo is surprisingly approachable already, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.
Needs time to open up properly, but really nice right out of the bottle.
Elegant, rich and robust.
A blend of 87% Tempranillo, 9% Mazuelo and 4% Graciano. Grapes are grown at 1,500 feet of elevation. Aged in new French oak barrels for 13 months.
14% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

This wine has a beautiful, deep ruby hue with a medium(+) intensity of aromas and flavors that include ripe black cherry, blueberry, blackberry, blackcurrant, wild strawberry, fig, violet, black licorice, clove, nutmeg, cardamom, cedar, pencil shavings, dill, coconut, mocha, dark chocolate, tobacco, and leather.
Alcohol is (just) high at 14% ABV, acidity and tannins are medium, lending balance. It has a medium body and textured mouthfeel.
Long story short: this wine is delish!! — 6 months ago

Primarily Tempranillo with a bit of Graciano blended in. Bright dark garnet color with a bit of ruby around the rim. Very ripe dark fruit (plums and figs) on the nose with bright hints of vanilla. Just a hint of dried rose petals and smoke. Palate is also full of ripe black currants and figs with hints of dark chocolate, black tea and coconut. Nice spicy (baking) finish. Bright acidity and firm/chewy tannins. Traditional Rioja. Excellent quality for the price. Thanks for sharing, Kase! — 6 months ago
