Another really good everyday wine — a month ago
Yesterday’s Wednesday Wine Committee lunch. Normal format of 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds and 1 dessert wine. All tasted blind.
Here was the ringer out of the 4 reds and it was quite easy to recognize. Total wash of sweet and ripe fruits...baked mixed berry pie, sandalwood, milk chocolate and toasted vanilla on the nose. The palate was oozing with blackberries, peppercorn and rhubarb tart. I called this Cali Petite Sirah. Nothing about this was cab franc like to me (and I love cab franc). Almost zin like. — 2 years ago
This is so nice! Blend of Merlot, Petite Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec! What more do you need in a wine! — 6 years ago
Sleeper of a wine! Didn’t know what to expect and it exceeded expectations. For a 2011 it still had plenty of youth and vibrance. — 2 months ago
Starts with black cherry then bone dry oak at the end. Beautiful! — 5 years ago
Great spicy cab. Enjoyed with DD on vday. — 4 years ago
Earthy, dry with a berry finish. Organic which was a pleasant surprise. — 5 years ago
