Only a few sips left. Pairs well with air and probably fatty foods but I only bought one bottle so just enjoying. so glad I don’t have to share. — 22 days ago
Tasted right after finishing the 2009 Bear Crossing. This was also excellent and drinking well. An interesting comparison between the two. While the Bear Crossing had more depth, this one had greater breadth to the palate. Could be that this is ultimately a slightly better wine than the Bear Crossing and that it will gain some more weight in the next couple of years. Doesn’t much matter to me, though, since these were the only bottles of these two wines that I had in the cellar. Both excellent wines, though. Enjoy! — 4 days ago
This tasting goes out to @Bob McDonald - show that flag some respect...
Visually, bricking has begun, but the nose is still lively and youthful. Black cherries and raspberries transition to notes of tobacco, leather and thyme. Palate is consistent, but that signature sweetness is still there, along with a hint of sandalwood. This still has broad shoulders, but it’s much more balanced and fine-tuned with bottle age.

This is exactly my kind of thing: heavy, perfumey, dark-fruity. Amma-fuckin'-rone.
Bear says: velvety and structured practically faultless. Very yum. — 2 days ago
Bear says: Full bodied, silky, layered, satisfying, tannic. YUMMO!
