The 2019 Baronesa P. is a combination of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot, 6% Carménère, 5% Syrah and 5% Cabernet Franc from the Maipo Valley, aged for 15 months in 60% new barrels. Garnet red in color. The complex nose is dominated by the oak, displaying notes of cedar and pencil box, dark fruit aromas and a whiff of thyme. On the palate, the flavors are intense with taut but polished tannins. Broad and long-lasting with an oaky backdrop, this grows more profound when decanted. One to keep. Nose: pepper, raspberry, cherry, light fragrant wood, orange peel, slight clove.
Taste: simple, but elegant and well made. Medium weight. Bitter olive, restrained tannins that linger and turn into green herbs (oregano? And others). Restrained sweet vanilla (almost like banana). The red fruit is in the background. This is good. 90.

I drank this wine for over 6 days, initially it was too acidic and unbalanced. I first had this wine two years ago I think and thought it needed some more time. The longer it was open the better it got! Blackberry, mulberry dark fruits, little Smokey, tannin still holding up. Nice dry long finish. Love it. I have one more and am going to try it again in two or three years. — a month ago

Wonderful honey aromas on the nose, along with some nice whiffs of citrus. The palate, of course, was sweet, though not sugary. Honeyed flavors of orange, peach, and apricot dominate. Not the sort of wine you'd have everynight, though a marvelous apértif or even dessert on a special occasion. 100% Orange Muscat. 7/3/22. — 7 months ago
