Thank you Shawn at Alliance, Paris, 2018 vintage, February 2, 2023 — 10 months ago
Bright yellow. Clear. A bit closed on the nose, ripe apples, peach, honey, oak. Dried fruits, orange on palette. Acid. Tangy or spicy. Silky, medium finish. Tasted in May 2021 at BigMacs&Burgundy book event by Alliance Francaise. — 3 years ago

Definitely a great rose — 2 years ago
My first time trying this wine after hearing about it for so long. Made by the vineyard manager of the famed Bien Nacido vineyard, Chris Hammell.
Clocking in at roughly 50 Grenache/25 Syrah/10 Mourvèdre/10 PS and the rest viognier, this toes the line between SQN/Andremily vibes and serious Paso (Saxum). It sports all of the luxurious fruit but no trace of stems or spice. From start to finish, this is a meaty wine, but not funky. Ripe dark fruits, smoked meat, bit of violets/floral tones. At almost 10yrs, it’s fairly integrated showing dark fig, roasted blackberries, spiced ripe black cherries toward the finish. Bull-in-the-china shop type GSM, but it meets you in the middle if you love big central coast style or Paso. Pop and enjoy. — 8 months ago

You’ve always needed a Grenache/Gamay blend in your life, you just didn’t know it. A cherry red color with purple flecks and long legs. After some time and air this really blossoms. Blue and black berries dominant on the nose with a little bit of herbal goodness for kicks. A touch of pepper because why the heck not?
Half Grenache and half Gamay from Ardèche in the Rhône. An odd blend but it most certainly works. The acid is prevalent and welcome. A definite cough syrup vibe happening, but in a really pleasant and gracious way. While sweeter on the nose, it’s more dry and developed in the mouth. Plenty of fruit on the palate with some spice and forest floor. Super fun. — 5 months ago
